Introduction To The Faculty of literature and Human Sciences
The Faculty of Letters and Humanities at Qom University began its activities in 2001, following the decree of the esteemed president of the university. Initially, this faculty was established with eight educational departments, including Persian Language and Literature, Arabic Language and Literature, English Language and Literature, Private Law, Criminal Law and Criminology, Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Accounting, and Library Science. In 2004, the educational department of Private Law, Criminal Law, and Criminology became independent following the establishment of the Faculty of Law.
Subsequently, with the addition of two new educational groups—Industrial Management and Educational Sciences (focusing on Management and Educational Planning)—the faculty continued its work with eight educational departments. In October 2011, with the formation of the Faculty of Management, the fields of Industrial Management and Accounting were separated also from the Faculty of Letters and Humanities. The Faculty of Letters and Humanities has six educational departments: Persian Language and Literature, Arabic Language and Literature, English Language and Literature, Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Educational Sciences, and Knowledge and Information Science.
