University Health Care and Treatment Centers (goals, programs and health services)

Introduction to the University’s Medical and Health Center

In 2001, under the directive of the founder and then-president of Qom University, Ayatollah Qazi Khormabadi, the Medical and Health Center was established with the efforts of the current director, Dr. Majid Parsa. Initially, the Center operated with minimal facilities and one physician, but gradually, with the development of equipment and administrative resources, as well as the establishment of provincial and national connections with other medical and health centers, it has been able to effectively meet the healthcare needs of students, faculty, and staff in line with the expansion of the university environment and the increase in the number of students. Additionally, it serves as an effective executive arm in medical commissions and collaborates with other university departments and vice-chancellors in providing services.

In 2013, this Center was selected as the Secretariat of Region 4 Medical and Health Centers of the country's affiliated institutions and universities by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology through the first national elections. It held this position for two years, providing executive and coordinating services to the 21 university entities in Region 4. The development of the first set of standards for university medical and health centers and active participation in ministry collaboration plans were important aspects of this responsibility.

Currently, this Center remains active, seeking to enhance and equip itself in order to better respond and fulfill a greater role in the health of university students.
