H) Suggested Services

• Verification of Registered Theses in the IranDoc System

According to the existing circulars, all theses and registered proposals at each university should be registered in the IranDoc systems to prevent scientific plagiarism and avoid repetitive work. In most universities, this task is carried out by the Deputy of Education and their staff. Qom University may be one of the first universities where this task is performed by the library staff. Table 4 shows the number of registered proposals and theses in IranDoc at Qom University.

 • Thesis Plagiarism Detection

One of the tasks initiated at the university central library since 2011 is the detection of thesis plagiarism using the IranDoc plagiarism detection system. The accuracy, credibility, and discipline governing this process at Qom University have been significant to the extent that it has been recognized by IranDoc as the "distinguished plagiarism detection department." Table 10 illustrates the extent of plagiarism detection in theses at Qom University over different years.
