Strengthening Scientific Collaborations Between Qom University and Guangzhou University of International Studies
During the academic trip of Professor Rezaei, a faculty member in the Persian Language and Literature Department at Qom University, to China, a meeting was held with the Dean of the Asian and African Studies Faculty at Guangzhou University of International Studies.
According to the news unit of Qom University’s Public Relations, Professor Ahmad Rezaei, a faculty member in the Persian Language and Literature Department and the Dean of the Faculty of Literature and Humanities at Qom University, met with the Dean of the Asian and African Studies Faculty during the international conference on "Expanding Chinese Culture."
In this meeting, while expressing gratitude for the invitation to the sixtieth anniversary ceremony of Guangzhou University, the scientific and research capabilities of Qom University in the fields of language, literature, humanities, and international collaborations were introduced.
Professor Chuang, the Dean of the Asian and African Studies Faculty, noted the status of Guangzhou University as one of China's key universities, with tens of thousands of students and about two thousand faculty members across nineteen faculties, and welcomed the expansion of collaboration with Qom University.
He regarded Guangzhou University as the third most important university in China for foreign language education, following Peking and Shanghai universities, and also highlighted its prominent position in the fields of economics and law.
During this meeting, emphasis was placed on developing scientific collaborations, exchanging faculty and students, and implementing joint research projects between the two universities. It is noteworthy that Qom University and Guangzhou University of International Studies signed a memorandum of scientific cooperation in 2023.
