Prof. Dr. Ahmad Hossein Sharifi the president of Qom University, pointing out that holy city of Qom  hosts many clerics  of religious sciences from Pakistan; announced that  Qom University is ready to accept Pakistani students and to start scientific cooperation between Qom University and Pakistani universities as well.

According to the Qom University Public Relations News Department, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hossein Sharifi, President of Qom University, in a meeting with a group of professors and students from Pakistani universities, welcomed them and said," We at Qom University are honored to host you and we hope that your presence and this scientific interaction will lead to a kind of effective and better communication between the universities of Qom and Pakistan".

He added," The Holy  city  of Qom is a global city and about 130 nationalities live in this city. Also, Qom is a scientific and research city, both in terms of Islamic sciences and academic and university issues.

Dr. Sharifi stated,"Qom hosts many religious students as clerics from Pakistan in Islamic seminaries and we expect to host Pakistani university students in addition to clerics.

The President of Qom University continued," Qom University is one of the best and comprehensive universities in Iran, which owns outstanding and top   professors and talented students in most of the academic fields.

 Pointing out that Pakistan is one of the honors of the Islamic world in terms of science, he said, "We are ready in various fields such as; exchange of professors and students, holding scientific meetings and webinars, granting student scholarships, cooperation in the field of joint study projects and also holding post-doctoral courses with Pakistani universities".

 At the end, Dr. Sharifi added," We believe that if there is a serious interaction between the universities of Iran and Pakistan, both countries can create a   scientific hub in the Islamic world.
