According to the Public Relations &News department of Qom University, a group of professors from UPM University of Malaysia attended Qom University for a two day visit.

On Sunday evening, upon arriving in Qom, this group went to the holy shrine of Lady  Masoumeh (A.S) and got familiar to the great personality of Lady  Masoumeh (A.S) (the sister of Imam ReZa the 8^th  Shia Imam), then they  visited the touristic  and historical  places of Qom.

The Malaysian academic delegation of professors of UPM University also visited Qom University on the 2^nd day  and visited various places of the university such as laboratories , library etc...

The next program of this delegation was to attend a meeting with university officials. In this meeting, Dr. Ahmed Hossein Sharifi, the President of Qom University, Professor Pasanda, the dean of UPM University's Social Sciences Research Center, and a group of Malaysian professors, in addition to Dr. Haji Dehabadi, the head of the Scientific and International Cooperation Department of Qom University, as well as a group of professors and officials of Qom University exchanged opinions about how to develop the academic relations between two   parties. At the end of this meeting, the parties emphasized the continuation of bilateral and academic cooperation by exchanging a memorandum of understanding.
