Dear and noble nation of Iran

 

In a situation where our ever-glorious homeland has been under the military invasion of the occupying regime and the Zionist aggression since the dawn of June 13 2025 (23 Khordad 1404 H. S.), which has so far resulted in the martyrdom of a number of high-ranking military commanders, a number of prominent scientists and a group of ordinary people, women, and innocent children, the Faculty of Law of the University of Qom, while offering condolences to the great Iranian nation and to the Great Leader of the Revolution and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces (may God protect him), would like to remind you of the following points:

 

First: The usurping and occupying Zionist regime has committed military aggression against Iran and a crime against peace, by clearly violating the fundamental principles and indisputable rules of International Law and the obligations stipulated in the Charter of the United Nations. Furthermore, during its offensive operation, by grossly violating the fundamental principles and definitive norms of International Humanitarian Law and the treaty and customary laws and regulations governing armed conflicts, it has recorded in its criminal record a long list of war crimes, including direct attacks on civilians, attacks on civilian targets including medical centers and hospitals, private, public and government-civilian property, natural resources and stocks of goods and products used by the general public, mass media, and attacks on nuclear facilities under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency safeguards.

 

Second: In such circumstances, the relevant international organizations and institutions, especially the United Nations and the International Atomic Energy Agency, must fulfill their inherent and important duties. Therefore, these institutions are strongly expected to fulfill their historical responsibility, by avoiding any inaction that encourages the criminal, and by learning from the bitter consequences of biased approaches in favor ofSaddamin the eight-year aggression against Iran, they should avoid political activities that harm the reputation of these organizations; although their violation of their legal duties does not harm the steadfast determination of the Iranians to protect their rights.

 

Third: The Faculty of Law of the University of Qom, while appreciating the domestic and international scientific communities, especially the academic circles of Muslim countries, for expressing their sympathy in this regard, and recalling the continuous crimes of the Zionist aggressor regime, especially in the last two years, calls on Islamic governments and legal scholars to achieve legal convergence based on human and Islamic principles and values.

 

Fourth: In accordance with the principles of “rejecting any kind of domination and subjugation” and “supporting the just struggle of the oppressed against the arrogant”, as stipulated in the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Faculty of Law, in support of the powerful defensive measures of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran under the wise measures of the Commander-in-Chief, declares its readiness to provide any necessary legal services to assist the country's official institutions and organizations in achieving the legitimate rights of our beloved Iran in international forums and institutions.

Fifth: While emphasizing Iran's inherent right to legitimately defend its territorial integrity, independence and national sovereignty, and to protect the lives of its citizens, it is clarified that the evils of the Zionist regime will affect the governments that play a role in form of direct involvement or aiding or abetting these crimes, and will entail the international responsibility of these governments and the international criminal responsibility of their political and military officials.

 

But our motherland, Iran, although it has always been damaged by the evil-doers, this deep-rooted, genuine and strong nation has sent all its evil-doers to the graveyard of history, and by the grace of God, such a fate will befall the Zionist aggressors and their supporters this time, and dear Iran, as it has always been in history, will remain proud and enduring, relying on the eternal power of God.
