The University of Qom entered the Times international ranking
The University of Qom entered the Times international ranking in the fields of engineering and physical sciences.
Dr. Ali Ehsani, in an interview with the reporter of Qom University's Public Relations Department, said: Fortunately, after entering the Times World Ranking, Qom University has been included in the Times Subject Ranking for the first time, and in the World Ranking of Qom University for The first time with the following specifications is placed in the range of 1500-1201.
Dr. Ehsani clarified: Among the 11 subject areas announced by The Times, Iranian universities have been able to be ranked among the top universities in the world in 10 subject areas. There are 73 universities of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this ranking out of 185 fields.
Research director of Qom University stated: The conditions for participation in the Times subject ranking are an acceptable number of scientific publications and academic staff members and it is different for each subject. The Times subject ranking is also based on the 5 main criteria of education (learning environment), research environment, Research quality, international outlook, and industry are similar to the Times Global Ranking, but each of these indicators is weighted according to each subject area.
He stated: Qom University entered this ranking with the following specifications in the two subject areas of engineering and physical sciences, and was ranked 601-800 in engineering and +1001 in physical sciences. We congratulate the academic community of Qom University on this great success and we hope that in the coming years we will be able to be included in this international ranking in other areas.
